VTB says to launch system recognizing fraudster calls in 2021
MOSCOW, Feb 3 (PRIME) -- Russia's second biggest lender VTB has completed testing of a system recognizing fraudster calls and will launch it on a large scale in 2021, Deputy CEO Anatoly Pechatnikov said at a conference on Wednesday.
"A voice antifraud will on the one hand protect the client from a call if fraudsters make it allegedly on behalf of the bank. On the other hand, it will notify the bank whenever fraudsters call the call center and try to imitate a conversation with a client," Pechatnikov said.
According to Pechatnikov's presentation, the antifraud measures prevented losses of 100,000 clients worth over 9.2 billion rubles in 2020.
